New compiled version for MAC and WIN
I compiled the new Theriak-Domino version (Feburary 4th, 2017) for MAC OS and WINDOWS (cygwin compiler). Please visit my homepage http://www.min.uni-kiel.de/~ed/theriakd/ for download and follow the instructions. The zip-folder includes: - new HP-databases: td-tcds62-6axmn-03.txt (White et al, 2014)...

Re: Over-prediction of OMPH
I found a mistake in OMPH solid solution model of Meyre et al. (1997), which is implemented in JUN92.bs. The Margules of Jadeite-Hedenbergite are mixed up (see Table 3 of Meyre et al. (1997) and Massone(1995),UHPM, Camb Univ Press, p. 33-95). Although Table 3 of Meyre et al. (1997) is correct, Fig. ...

Hi Jan, The point is that no F3 is included in the f3-phases (**** MINERAL DATA **** - block). You have to change FE to F3 for all f3-phases, if you want to activate ferric members. For example: f3clin1 FE(1)MG(5)AL(1)SI(3)H(8)O(18) to F3(1)MG(5)AL(1)SI(3)H(8)O(18) or mt FE(3)O(4) to FE(1)F3(2)O(4) ...

Re: How to add Fe3+ into calculations
Hi, I like Dougs dataset (tcds55_p07). At conferences, I saw many people using his dataset and refer to the dataset as "Doug Tinkham dataset". But, it's not. It's still based on Holland and Powell (1998) dataset + modifications. More important: Be aware, that if you use the tcds55_p07, you...

Complex solid solutions and constrained minimum
What bothers me often is the question, how well are the complex (reciprocal) solution models defined. For example, let’s consider the complex solid solution model of amphiboles from Diener et al., 2012. I often calculate stability fields with two, three or even four co-existing amphibole phases from...

Re: Multiple task for Domino
There is a third way (beside duplicating folders and script-files). You can change the theriak.ini (you will find the file in the Programs folder). Within the theriak.ini file, set the filename of filetype "dat" to a single question mark. For example, in the following $THERIAK-FILES or $DO...
